ReplyDeleteRight from my childhood days I had a great desire to fly in a plane. It always attracted my attention as it flew high up in the air. To me it had the appearance of a huge eagle with its big wings outspread.
Even in my childhood days I had a keen desire to fly in a plane and as I grew in age this desire became more and more intense. I often asked my father to take me for a plane flight. It was indeed a great day in my life when my father agreed one day to take me to the airport for a short flight in a plane.
Next day we went to the airport were my father purchased two tickets. Soon after we reached a big plane, climbed its staircase and went into it. The seats were very comfortable. The plane was to take off at 10:30 for Georgia. At 10:15 there was a whistle and the passengers were requested to tighten their waists thereafter, the air hostess gave us a small drink of lemon juice to prevent air sickness. I was however, too excited to think about such things.
The plane started exactly at 10:30a.m.for some distance ran on the ground but after gaining speed it took off in the air. It began to rise higher and higher. I looked downwards to see for myself as to what the things looked like from that height. All things were very small. The river we flew over looked like a tiny canal. Men walking in the streets looked like tiny dwarfs. The highest buildings looked like small clay models. The green meadows and fields looked like green carpets.
After traveling in the air for about 3 hours the announcer informed us on the mike that we are approaching Georgia. We were once again asked to tighten our belts as the plane was going down. As it descended things become more and more distinct. Ultimately touched the ground and the things around were the same as before the flight. I came out of the plane and felt very happy. It was indeed a happy experience in my life my dream to fly in a plane came true.
