Webster’s Dictionary defines an adventure as, “an exciting or remarkable experience,” or, “an undertaking usually involving danger and unknown risks.”
Write a minimum of 300 words describing an adventure you have had in your life. Describe in detail the people and the places involved. Make sure you discuss the conflicts encountered in your adventure and discuss the resolutions.
I encountered something that was so scary at a very young age. It was in June 2005 and we were at my grandmother’s family reunion in Chattanooga, Tennessee at Rock City. My cousins and I were wondering what to do. We took plenty of pictures and had tons of fun. Then, we encountered this bridge and a set of stairs. The name of the bridge is called the swing-along bridge because it swings back & forth when you walk across it. We thought we were too cool for the stairs so we glanced over the side of the stairs and looked below. We were about 200+ feet above the ground. As scary as the bridge looked we wanted to take the risk and try it out anyway. We grabbed each other by the hand and began to take some small steps. The bridge creaked and swayed from side to side. We stopped for a second for the others to catch up but they were walking tooooooooooo slow. When we were almost to the end, my gum was sliding out my pocket. I thought to myself, I am too cool and I tried to pick it up but it fell between the cracks right along with the dust on the bridge. I almost cried because it was a full pack. When my mom and everybody else made it to the other side we were relieved that nobody fell or was hurt. I am still afraid of certain heights because it could cause a lot of these dangerous feelings to resurface again. I feel this was an adventure because it had its dangerous twist and turns. Another thing that really gave me the chills was when I stood on lovers leap. We could look over 7 states and it was really high up. You really had to be careful not to fall because you might die lol. It was definitely a good experience for my family and me.
ReplyDeleteThe best adventure I've had was exploring the woods with my mom and cousins. It started when me and my sister discovered an opening in the backyard that led to the woods behind us. We thought it would be cool to check it out. our mom and cousins went under the fence and started walking. The sights were amazing. Trees had fallen and bird nests were everywhere. My little cousins played on the downed trees and my cousin of the same age stayed with me to walk along. As we kept on walking, I noticed a road that led to a lake. Everybody was looking at the silk-like water. After a couple more steps, we saw a gigantic house that had to be worth over a million dollars. My started to freak out saying this was somebody's property and we should leave. Since we didn't care, we went back to the my house wondering who could be living in the big mansion.
ReplyDeleteOne adventure that I had in my life was when I went to Hawaii during my summer break. I had the greatest time in my life. My family and I weren’t planning on going back home. There were people who were kind to us. We never had a problem at the hotel. The hotel was so big that that got lost going back to my own hotel room. My cousins and I had our own hotel room. So we were staying up all night. We stayed in Hawaii for 3 weeks. I wanted to stay for a month but we couldn’t because it will cost too much. One thing that was difficult for me to do was to surf. Surfing was the hardest experience for me.
ReplyDeleteEven though surfing was hard, it wasn’t the only thing that I did in Hawaii. I also went scopa diving. I was kind of scared to swim big creatures. While I was scopa diving, I saw stingrays, dolphins, jellyfishes, and a couple of sharks. But there was so many fishes that couldn’t count them out. After scopa diving, we went to eat. The food was great. We went to an all you can eat buffet. After we ate, my parents told my cousins and me that we can to anything we want. My cousins decided to talk to some Hawaiians girls. The girls looked so beautiful at night.
Finally it was time to go back home. We had to pack all of our stuff. When we were done packing, we took our bags down to the car. When we got down stairs, our car was missing for some reason. We looked up and the parking lot. We told the hotel staff our car was missing. The hotel lady told us that our car was moved to the back. We thought somebody stole our car, but it was moved to the back. This was greatest adventure of my life!!!!!!!
Once in a city of Atlanta, a girl hair was drastically on fire.The adventure of a lifetime she will never forget. Well i will never lose in my memory.At the time when it happened school was out, a hot mid atlanta day, and tons, i mean tons of my famliy members.Its was the day of my family reunion all my aunties, cousins i never seen before and uncles were there too.There was typical family reunion food you would eat and see when its a family reunion.There were fruit, hot dogs, hamburger, and yum yum my famous auntie red vevlet cake.Everyone was having a wonderful time adults talking,children playing, and the elder ramming on about the old days but intill firworks were coming. One of my uncles brought a bunch of fireworks for the children.Back then i ten years old so i still was a child.One of my little cosin was running around with the firwork intill booom...hit me with firwork. The firwork fell on my head and all i remeber was stop, drop, and roll. Which it helped but i still lost some hair. That was adventure i had having my hair on fire.
ReplyDeleteMy greatest adventure was when I went right around the corner! Growing up in the countrier part of North Carolina, Greensboro, I biked and climbed every inch of every acre. I thought those were adventures within themselves, because I had done them everyday, yet I thought wrong.
ReplyDeleteOn my block there was a new camp, Camp Agape that everyone was talking about, because it was advertised on television and it was stapled on every telephone pole. I thought nothing of it, but my mom didn't; so, she enrolled me into this camp.
It took forever to get there, but when we got there I never knew camp wasn't just: campfire songs, smores, tents, and uniforms. Camp Agape was in the miidle on nowhere. Everyday the bell would wake us, then we would go to breakfast, where we could actually have seconds(+). We went to the beach by a ferry, but our bus was still on the ferry as we departed to sea. I saw seagulls and smelled the saltwater air.
We also made our own beef stew from vegetables around a shrub. It was pretty good, but the more I stayed there, the more I realized that I was making an adventure away from home by not having my daily appliances from home, even though home was only a few walks away.
The climax of my adventure seem to increase each day as I breathe, because just walking outside of my cabin, made me feel alive and brand new. But when I finally got home, I made sure every detail of my adventure wasn’t exaggerated, because my adventure was very real. The wind blowing through my hair when we had played archery after the bow touched the target and the bow left my hand, I only had my pride indulged and my dignity bleached!
Once I had took and adventure to Animal Kingdom in Orlando, Florida. We were in summer camp and we took a trip and I have been there before but this time it was something different about me going to this Amusement Park before. So we are all walking around and I figure it out there was a new ride there called Expedition Everest a.k.a Mount Everest. So then me and my friends had ran straight to the line but it was very, very long and i didn't wanna wait in that line. So then our team leader had came over to our group and told us what other things would we like to get one. So then we had got in the express line and was up there early so I was very happy. So we get onto the ride get strapped in or seated in and they tell us the rules and things that s going to happy. So we are going up this VERY LONG HIGH IN THE SKY HILL. I didn't know what to expect but i was scared and almost stared to cry. So then we are going around this ben very fast then all of a sudden there are no more tracks on the ride so me and my friend are in the front seat and we thought we was going to die. Me ans my friend were very shaky because we weren't on the tracks anymore. So all of sudden we feel the roller coaster going backwards, So we are going backwards and then a yeti had popped out and we had stopped he is yelling in our face. We are still going backwards the in change position and we are going down a very steep hill and i am dying on this ride like literary. So I see an big flash and they took a picture of our facial expression. Then the ride starts to sow down and we are heading back into the station and all in we are clapping and i am in shocked like my heart drooped into my stomach. So we got off and saw out face "DON'T WANNA KNOW WHAT I LOOKED LIKE." This was a great adventure I had been on in my life there's more but this one will having you begging for more.
ReplyDeleteAn adventure I had in my life was a time when my family and I took a visit to Tennessee. On the trip was me, my brothers and sisters, my cousins, grandma, mom, and aunts. There was a place called Wilderness at the Smokies that we decided to visit. We go on a family trip every year and my grandma had seen this special place in a commercial. I couldn't wait to get to this place, because it looked nice TV, but it's not always what it looks like. I hated when we stopped on the trip, because I was so ready to get there. We finally got there and from the outside I see and huge orange thing and slides that were purple and yellow. The first thing I thought was ok this is a water park. I was smiling from ear to ear when I saw that. We get inside and get situated, then we head down to the water park which surprised me because it was on the inside of the hotel. There was a wave pool, jacuzzi, three water slides, a basketball pool, kids play area, and a surfing area. The first place that I went to was the basketball pool since it is my favorite sport. I stayed in there for a while then I decided to go to the surfing area. I was horrible. I thought I had embarrassed myself, so I waited to the next day to try again since we were staying a week. I wake up ready to get back down to the water park. I'm down there ready to play basketball, ride the slides and try surfing once again. I play a good game of basketball, as usual, and ride those enormous slides. Now it's time for the surfing. I try it another time and once again I embarrass myself. I said to myself don't quit you can do it just keep trying. That's exactly what I did. I was beginning to get better and better at it, then I finally figured out my problem. I straighten myself up and I had it down packed. I then still had to find a way to have fun in the wave pool, because I was so tall. The waves just went under me. I then thought, this pool goes to six feet and I'm not that tall yet so how about I go all the way to the rope which was six feet. When the waves came, they were going right over my head which was a lot more fun. This was my first time here and also one of my greatest adventures.
ReplyDeleteOne Adventure I Had Took In My Life Was When Me And My Family Took A Trip To Valdosta To Go Swimming. When We Got There We Went To A Hotel Called Comfort Inn Suites To Put Our Bags In The Room. After We Did That We Ordered Food And Watched Movies That Friday Night. When The Morning Came We Got Ready And Went Down Stairs To Eat Breakfast,We Went Back To The Room To Put On Our Bathing Suits. After A View Minutes Later We Got In The Car And Drove To A Place Called Wild Adventures Theme Park. When We Got There It Was A LONG Line And We Kept Saying We Were Gonna Leave And Go Somewhere Else. We Finnally Got To Pay And As We Went In It Was BIG Rides And Dozens Of Rides. Me, My Sister, Brothers, Cousins, And Aunty Went To This Ride Called The Viking Voyage That Ride Went Up So High And I Was Scared When It Dropped Down Real FAST! I Thought I Was Gonna Die But Luckily I Didnt When We Got Off When I Stepped Of I Felt A Little Tingle In My Feet Like I Was Still On The Ride Having Fun.. I Had So Much Fun With My Family That Whole Week It Was AMAZING!
ReplyDeleteone adventure I had in my life was going fishing. There were many fish in the lake and they were big. After we got done my uncle, little brother and cousin went in the woods to explore. We started by going under a bridge and quietly walked past some sleeping beevers. Then we faced a bunch of plants with thorns on them and we managed to get through unharmed. Then we ended up in another neighborhood and to a surprise as though we were lost but we moved fast and got to a familiar place the golf course but we were at the other side and the thought that we would get home before dark were all but gone. My cousin was sad because he was tired and hungry. Then he would start listing reasons why he didnt like how slow we were going. Finaly we made it to the normal side of the golf course and home was at the tip of are fingers. When we got home all we could think of is a shower and the to eat. This is the story of my adventure I had one great summer day.

ReplyDeleteDriving from California to Georgia was an adventure for me. It was a boring long 2 day drive that I will never forget.
We started on a early Saturday morning, we drove for 5 hours then we stopped to eat. After we ate we got back on the road and our first incident happened. My little sister ended up throwing up on me because she was car sick. My mom told me she couldnt stop the car because we were in the middle of no where. So I spent about some time with throw up on me and I was so mad. When we finally reached a hotel, I quickly took a shower. We stayed at the hotel for a few hours so my mom could rest and got back on the road. We started driving again, it was dark outside during that time. As were driving, the car starts to slow down... and we ran out of gas. But it was a good thing we packed gasoline bottles in the back of the truck. My mom pulled over filled the car and we got back on the road. We drove until it got midnight. We then stop at another hotel. we got into the hotel and it looked old an creepy, and so we left to find a better one. We ended up driving and finding a better hotel so we got there and it was a nice hotel, we ate and went to sleep. And we woke up on day 2. We were almost in Georgia. We woke up and drove for hours and stopped to get food and gas. After that we got back on the road. And my sister ended up throwing up again and this time it was all over the floor in the car. So we had to spend hours smelling nasty throw up until we could stop again. We stopped at a car wash to clean the mess. Then we got back on the road. We drove for more hours and sooner then later we were finally in Georgia. And that was my adventure !
An adventure i had in my life was the first time i went on a cruise. It was scary at first,but i got use to it. I was on the ship for a week. There were lots of activities to do. First, me and my friend Daniel wanted to go swimming. When we got to the pool we were amazed at the size of the pool. It was huge. We went to the wave pool first it was really fun. Then we went on the water slide,it was really fun. We were hungry after that so we went and bought a pizza. After that we went to see what else was on the ship. We saw tennis,basketball,golf,and lots of other things. We went back to the room and got ready for dinner, we had to put on something nice to wear. At dinner i saw some girls that looked familiar, so i walk up to them and they did go to my school. They said hey. I introduced Daniel to Jasmine,Leah,and Cameron. After diner we all went to the game room and just hung out and played games. Then we got tired so we just went back to our rooms. The next day Daniel and i went to play basketball. The first one to 20 wins. I almost lost, luckily i got the rebound and shot a three pointer. After the game we bought Gatorade. A couple of hours later we saw the same girls from last night. They were just chilling in the sun. Over the next couple of days we all just met at the pool at 1:00. On the last night of the trip i tripped over this dudes bag, i was so mad i almost hit him in the face,but he said he was sorry, so i was like it's coo! That night it was movie night and they played the movie The Water Boy it was really funny!! The next day we got back and as soon as i touched the concrete everything started moving i was so dizzy i could hardly walk i was like what in the world. I asked my mom what was going on she said, "the boat is always rocking on the waves and it has been doing that for a week and when you touched the concrete you was dizzy because you have been rocking for a while and you have to get use to not rocking." What she said didn't make since to me at all, but i was happy to be home again. This was one of my many adventures i had in my life.

ReplyDeletefor my dads family reunion.We left around 7:35 and the road trip was 14 to 16 hours long. On the way there we stop in South Carolina it was my first time being there. Next we stop in North Carolina the state look so deserted down south but when we got in the heart I seen plenty of things. Next we stop in Virginia I was excited because it would be my first time seeing are nation capital Washington DC.We finally got there i saw the capital building the white house
supreme court the Jefferson memorial and many more sights. Next we enter Maryland it was okay because we left it real quick then we enter Delaware we were out of the state in about 15 minutes. After that we finally made it to Pennsylvania it was a amazing sight and state i saw the Eagles stadium and very popular sights. We met up with my dads family I finally seen people on my dads side of the family I haven't seen in years. I met people I never seen before and I just had a wonderful time.
When I was in 5th grade, we took a trip to Orlando, Florida for 3-4 days. We left the school during the evening on a charter bus but arrived at dusk. We went to go get our keys for the hotel rooms. When everyone got settled in, we went to the cafeteria in the hotel to eat breakfast. After we were done eating, we all got on the charter bus and we drove to Universal Studios. This was my first time in Florida, and I had never ridden a rollercoaster before. I had bought a camera to take a plethora of pictures. The first thing we went to was this Twister movie remake for a real life experience. They had electrical outings, fires, lightning, thundering sounds, a fake tornado, billboards tearing down, and the “house” we were standing on slanted down like the twister broke it down. I was really scared because the sounds and movements felt real. The lady next to me and my friend told us that we made the whole scene feel real. We started to laugh and left with our group. The first ride we went on was The Mummy ride, based off of the movie. This was my first ride ever in my life. We got on and I was already nervous. When the ride started, I think I started to hyperventilate. Then I realized that I wasn’t that bad. There was this part where there was fire and everything got hotter. We ended up at a dead end where millions of beetles, which literally get under your skin, crawling up the wall, then the rollercoaster went backwards. After the ride we went to see the ride pictures and my eyes were wide and I had a huge smile on my face. I felt accomplished and ever since then, I’ve never been scared to get on a rollercoaster ever again.
ReplyDeleteAn adventure that I remember is when one day I was with my older brother at a park in South Georgia. The place wasn’t really a park, it was more like a reserve, but the name of the place was Reed Bingham National Park. Sometimes the park doubled as an Air Force training base, because on certain occasions they would make sure no one was in the park and they would bomb it and send troops down and stuff. But on this particular day when my brother and I went they weren’t sending any troops or any bombs or anything. Also at the park there was a boardwalk where schools would come and have field trips and things like that. The park had a boardwalk and areas to hunt and fish. My brother likes to fish and our neighbor told him that at Reed Bingham there was huge fish. I think they were called sway or mudfish; it was some type of catfish. So anyway me and my brother went to the park and we walked the boardwalk when you get to the end of the boardwalk, there is like a big staircase with four different levels. My brother and I went all the way to the top and we looked out all around us. The view was incredible! You could see clear over the Florida border. I was looking around for crocodiles and alligators and I saw three or four big alligators. So then we walked over to the fishing side of the park and he put his line in, while he was doing that I went over across the dirt path and saw went in the woods a little bit. I picked up a whole bunch of rocks and started tossing a few. While I was in those woods I saw a big old snapping turtle. Then all of the sudden my brother called me to come look at something, at first I thought he caught a fish but he was pointing somewhere else while picking everything up all fast. I looked over to where he was pointing deep in the woods off to the right. You;ll never guess what I saw….. I saw a face as clear as day, a white face with wild eyes and a crooked smile. I ran into the car and whatever we didn’t have we left. I was terrified and as we drove off I saw the face following us except now it was attached to a body, a skinny scrawny body and then just as I got a good look it disappeared into the dust. I kid you not.

3rd Period
An adventure of mine to remember was when my father and I took a weekend trip to northern Georgia. We live only about two hours away from the place where we headed to visit. The first place we stopped on our trip was in Dahlonega, GA to go to the gem and gold mining activity. There were multiple things to do there than I expected. There a few options: sifting gold, sifting through gems, jewelry making, and searching through the creek. My dad told me to choose and I chose to sift through gems. We bought two buckets of gems to look through. Being rookies, we did not know exactly what to look for. I went to the front desk and grabbed the sheet that had the names of the different types of gems on them with the pictures. As we followed the examples we individually picked out the unnecessary rocks apart from the real gems. It took us about a few hours to completely look through and analyze the two buckets. Keeping our findings we went on with our day. The next thing to do was to eat. We had dinner at this Chinese restaurant then headed to find a hotel to stay in. Not too far from the restaurant there was a modest hotel that had a few available rooms and my dad paid for one night. The hotel had a pool, so for the rest of the evening I chilled by the pool and swam a few laps. By the time the night came I went back to the room. I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow I was knocked out and before I knew it, morning came. The next day we ate breakfast and checked out of the hotel. When we hit the road we traveled a little bit farther up north. The jewelers place was our next and final stop. Once we go the gems this is where we decided to go to get them examined. There was this winding mountain road that led to the jewelers place. Once we got there, we were greeted by this overly amiable middle-aged lady. She was nice enough to offer us cookies and something to drink. She introduced us to her husband, I believe, and he consulted us on our findings. He told us we had about a hand full of valuable gems. He also said that he was able to cut the gems to make them into jewelry. My dad let me pick one gem to get made into a piece of jewelry. I chose this sapphire ring, which I still have today, to be cut for me. After our consultation we went right back down the winding mountain road home. This was one of my favorite adventures from when I was younger.
An adventure I had was during the summer of 09. Me and my sister discovered an opening in the fence behind our house that led to some woods. We thought it would be interesting to tell our mom and let her see what was back there. The next week we crawled under the fence to explore the woods. It had plenty of fallen trees and tree stumps. My sister tried to climb one of the downed trees and fell, so I had to help her up. As we went deeper into the woods, I noticed a paved road. Everyone followed me while I walked onward. Few moments later there were no trees and a gigantic lake was sitting there still. My mother and sister could not believe what they were seeing. Walking along the path still I noticed something better... A MANSION. We all just stoped and stared at it with aw. My sister wanted to get a closer look but my mom said no. After that we returned home to tell others what we saw.
ReplyDeleteOne adventure I have had in my life was driving to New York with my cousin, moma as we call her. This was an adventure because we were finally free to do and act as we please for 15 hours .the main reason we got to drive to New York is that my older cousin finally had got her driving license and since we were going to New York for the summer, driving would be much cheaper than flying. On a Sunday night we had hit the rode to set out on our journey which could end up being great experience that we could look back on as a great memory in our early years in life, or terrible experience that we just want to forget and never have to remember. As we set out on our journey everything was going well we were listing to music texting talking on the phone ect. Ten hours into our journey as we were soon to approach the state known for their great big red apples New York. The wonderful rental we thought it was caught a flat tire. Which had set us back a couple hours because we had to get the tire fixed. after that we had finally made it to new York ….I was so happy I could not take another hour in the car ,because I was getting car sick. so we finally touched land I ran inside my dad house and took a nap that felt like heaven .this was a real adventure in my life I learned that diving is not the move because it takes to long and makes me very car sick. And the many accouter I had was not as fun as I thought it would be this is my wonderful great adventure story.
ReplyDeleteAn adventure I have once been on was on Thanksgiving night. It was really the day after Thanksgiving. Me, my sister, and my 3 cousins were all over my Aunt's house. All of our parents were out at 12 o'clock to go Black Friday shopping. One of my cousin had just got his license a month before this. Our parents thought we were sleep but we had a plan to leave when they left. My grandmother was in the guest bedroom, sound asleep. My cousin grabbed my grandmothers keys and we were on the way to Wal-Mart. We didn't have any intentions on buying anything, we just wanted to get out the house and make memories. We barely had money and even with the Black Friday sales we could afford anything. We were just walking around the store and window shopped. This of course eventually got boring. So we decided to go to the mall. Our parents told us they were going to Best Buy and to Cumberland mall. We decided not even to take that route. We went to Northpoint mall and we just window shopped again and met new people. The mall was packed and it was no point of even going into a store because we were not going to buy anything. Me and my cousin went into Foot Locker. And turned to my left I saw my Aunt, the store was so packed she couldn't see use through the crowd. I told my cousins and ducked our heads and ran out of the store as quick as we could. My brother who had stayed home called us and told us that my grandmother had woken up and was looking for us. We told him to say we were in the basement watching movies. He did, and she believed him. We were so worried and it was so much going on. We decided to just leave the mall and act like it never even happened. Our parents had beat us home, we were caught! We were in so much trouble that our parents took back the gifts that they had got for us the next day. They can never trust us together again. This was an adventure for me because it was something that will probably never happen again and was unexpected.
ReplyDeleteI, with my friends, had been evacuated at last. When we were being taken to an unknown destination, our plane was suddenly shot at. It burst into flames but its body with all of us safe fell to the earth. Soon we found that it was an unmanned island.
ReplyDeleteScrambling out of the debris, we went up a hill. To our west, there were thick fruit and bamboo trees and to our behind were caves. Just opposite us there flew a river into two streams. The swamp could be seen in between these two rivers. To the east, there were trees and caves near the sea beach and the coast down to the south had huge cliffs. The island, it seemed, was spread over an area of thirty kms from northeast to south and fifteen kms from south-west to the north. It was surrounded by sea with abundant sea-life. We found a fresh water spring also.
The immediate need was of searching a place for shelter since we never knew how and when we could be rescued. We began to search a place for a camp with fresh water supply and some fruit trees nearby. When we had gone ahead, we heard mysterious cry. I said to Praveen, “What bird can it be calling so mysteriously?” He was dazed but said, “It might be a bird, animal or a demon that swallows the victims alive”. The cry was heard again and to our amazement we saw a shadow approaching. “Look, Praveen! We are gone, I said.” He was terrorized and yelled like a mad man. I too yelled hysterically and grappled with the shadowy figure. To our amazement, Ram had thought to chill our blood with fun. The wild cries could still be heard.
We selected a place in between the trees and the fresh water spring at the east-southern coast for setting up a camp. We brought the dry branches, wood, dried grass and leaves from the nearby trees. In case of danger, we could go to the caves nearby. The Cliffs could help us in attracting the attention of the rescuing party.
Soon after two days, a helicopter spotted us and we were rescued. This adventure was simply a brush against a sure death but our courage, fearlessness, and comraderie and, above all, the jungle sense kept us alive. We came to know that this was called Topo Island. I would call the whole adventure a Jungle Ordea
There Was One Adventure I Took To Tennessee. We Went To and Mysterious Underground Cave, the Tennessee Aquarium, and the Rocky Mountains. I Call It an Adventure because I usually don’t go out of town that much so it was a great experience. I went with my camp “YMCA”, so I had all my friends and camp counselors with me. First we went and got some ice-cream then we went to get something to eat. We stayed For the Whole Day Having fun. First we went to the underground cave, and then we went to the rocky mountain, last we went to the Aquarium.
ReplyDeleteIn the cave there were stones and a rainbow waterfall. I thought it was so cool because I was younger. I never saw nothing like it in my life. The cave had lakes and a path way. I think it was a manmade lake but I’m not sure. When we went to the rocky mountains it seemed like I was hiking but the mountain was very large and on to there was an store and there was a long dangerous bridge I didn’t trust because if you fell there was not that much space so you were going to hit you head on the way down. I was very scared but I did it anyway because I’m young wild and free. At the aquarium I saw an octopus for the first time and a shark. Me and my friends walked around looking at fish and looking at the dolphin show and looking at my favorite water creature an otter. We got back on the bus and ate. It was still an great adventure to Tennessee.
One adventure I have had in my life was driving to New York with my cousin, moma as we call her. This was an adventure because we were finally free to do and act as we please for 15 hours .the main reason we got to drive to New York is that my older cousin finally had got her driving license and since we were going to New York for the summer, driving would be much cheaper than flying. On a Sunday night we had hit the rode to set out on our journey which could end up being great experience that we could look back on as a great memory in our early years in life, or terrible experience that we just want to forget and never have to remember. As we set out on our journey everything was going well we were listing to music texting talking on the phone ect. Ten hours into our journey as we were soon to approach the state known for their great big red apples New York. The wonderful rental we thought it was caught a flat tire. Which had set us back a couple hours because we had to get the tire fixed. after that we had finally made it to new York ….I was so happy I could not take another hour in the car ,because I was getting car sick. so we finally touched land I ran inside my dad house and took a nap that felt like heaven .this was a real adventure in my life I learned that diving is not the move because it takes to long and makes me very car sick. And the many accouter I had was not as fun as I thought it would be this is my wonderful great adventure story.
ReplyDeleteOne adventure I had in my life was going to Disney World. Every year my parents and I went on trips and I had been to Disney World once before , but this experience was like no other. I went to Orlado, Forida with over 25 girls and only 4 adults. this was during the time I attended Seaborn Lee Elementary School. I was on the cheerleading team, and we had a cheer competition there. We got tickets to all of the amusement parks there . We got on numerous amounts of rides, and had the time of our lifes. Since I was captain I got to pick the first and last ride we got on. The first ride we got on was okay, but the last ride we got on was amazing. If you know me , you would know that I am afraid of heights, which is why I dont like elevators or amusement park rides. Anyway this ride was phenomenal. This ride was called The Tower of Terror. This ride was the biggest , scariest , most adventerous ride I had ever been on. Guests are seated aboard a rickety old "freight elevator" that glides through mysterious hotel passageways, past ghostly images of former guests. As the journey progresses, the elevator enters a pitch-black shaft. The elevator launches guests skyward unexpectedly, then, just as suddenly, the cables 'snap' and electrical sparks shower. The vehicle then plunges 13 stories. The elevator abruptly rises once more, with an unpredictable series of shorter drops and climbs. At one point, the doors of your elevator open to reveal the whole park below you! You are eventually returned to a dimly lit rear hallway of the Hotel, where you exit the elevator.
ReplyDeleteone adventure i have had in my life was going to orlando flordia.i was goign with my brother my two sisters and my mom. of course we was on a journey down the road. we have explored alot of thing on the way down to our journey. on the road still i messed around and went to sleep. i was very bored didnt have anything to do. so the ride was about 10 to 15 hour ride. sropping to get some to eat have fun in the back set eating. so we on our way down there so we about a half of mile away so the car catches a flat tire. i was so mad because i had to stop eating my food and push the car. i was not planning on having to push the car. we has finally arrived there going first thing we did was put air in the tire. second thing we did was go to the water park and have fun get the flat tire of our mind. and thirdly we went to the hotel and watch t.v. and played the game all night. and lastly we went to sleep and woke up and did the same thing we did the yesterday and went home. this my wondeful and great adventure that i had.
ReplyDeleteOne adventure i had was when me and a few of my family members went to my grandparent's house for thanksgiving. They live in Richland, GA, which is a small country town outside of Columbus, GA. They stay inside a little trailer next to a huge field full of horses. They don't own the field so that is why no one has every rode a horse. Besides that, we had a great Thanksgiving with lots of food. My aunt made the collard greens, my mom made homemade macaroni, dressing and ham, and my great-aunt made the cornbread(the only foods that I eat on Thanksgiving). While we were trying to leave, a huge bull walked right in front of our car and just stood there for a minute. Then my uncle and father got out the car and they ran the bull away. All of were scared(I was about seven years old at the time). That's one day that I will never forget and my most exciting adventure that I can think of.
ReplyDeleteOdessyus and ponelope has true love. In the picture I think it shows when odessyus sailed off to the war. They just had a baby and he had to go to war. He told ponelope if their son has a beard by the time he comes back then she can find someone else to be in love with. He went to different places and had sex with different girls. Ponelope has been home fighting for odessyus spot because the other men thinks he is dead and they want to marry ponelope . Odessyus was gone for 10 years and they still didn't forget about each other. Odessyus sends a bird to ponelope to tell that he is ok and every time she see that bird she smiles. After the war odessyus just wants to be with his wife but he has to get through many obstcals to see her. They may have needed that break from each other so they can miss each other even more. But the have real true love.
ReplyDeleteIn the Oxford Dictionary, an adventure is an unusal or exiting experience. Well, when I was in the 5th grade, I went on a truly awesome adventure.A 3 day and 2 night classtrip to Tybee Island, Georgia. Throughtout the whole schoolyear I anticipated the trip, but that Sunday night things got real! Sundaynight I went to bed extremely early considering my busy day ahead. My mother woke me up early Monday morning with a smile as well as a hot breakfast waiting on me. After i devoured my still warm breakfast, I started my day with a shower, brushing my teeth, putting on my clothes, and making sure everything was together. The ride to school took forever. Once we arrived to the school, me and a few of my friends talked while waiting for the buses. Finally the buses arrived and we were on the road. The roadtrip was full of laughter, sleep, talking, joneing, and playing. Tybee Island was nothing that I aspected it to be. there was a huge volleyball net in the center of the whole camp and there were rocks EVERYWHERE! After asignig rooms, leaders, and shaparones,the fun began. That night, we had a party in the auditorium and ate pizza, candy and drank all the soda we could. The next two days, while some people went to the beach, to a marsh, and some classes stayed on campus. The last night was the best night there, all 6 classes went to the beach and got to play in the sand as well as do an interesting experiment with peppermints on the ocean. As we ate the mint, and opened our mouths the atmosphere from the ocean, the ingredient from the mint, and the slava from our mouths made the mints sparkle green light. This trip to Tybee Island is my favorite adventure to this day, so far!
ReplyDeleteOne adventure was when me,my grandma,and my cousin went to disneyland for my birthday. We had went on a cruise and everything.The cruise was very nice,and big.When we was there and it was time for breakfast i had order a mickey mouse waffle,now at the time the waffle did not look that big in the picture.But when i got it it was as big as a highschool biology book but only half.My grandma told me i had to eat it all sense she payed for it.But i couldnt so i only ate half of it.When it was time to get off the cruise in we was at disney world my grandma and cousin went stright for the rides i wasnt thaet tempted. There was one ride that caught my eye.It was the tower , it was made like an elevator.I could hear people screaming it went really really high and droped all the way down.My grandma and cousin wanted to get on but i said no so they didnt get on.Even though i didnt get on that ride i got on others. It was a nice time with my grandma and cousin. It was my 11th birthday and they got me what i ask for a trip to disneyland it was the most exciting adventure.
ReplyDeleteA adventure i once had was the time i went to the Bahamas. The morning we left was exhausting. We had to get up around 12 a.m. just to catch the boat. While on the boat me my brothers and sisters were really bored so we decided to play a game called I Spy. After we were done with that game we got even bored so we all decided to go to sleep. When i woke up everyone was cramped and layed out on one another and all i could do was laugh. A few hours passed and we were still on the boat so we decided to go swimming , but as soon as we got up to the front deck we were already in the Bahamas. We all went back to the room to put back on our other clothes and were headed to the dock. As we docked we stopped to take pictures on the island to cherish our memories as we got there for the first time. While we were waiting for our luggage we decided to explore around in the docking port. While wondering around we saw a lot of things we couldn’t find in Georgia. We saw really tall trees , plants we had never heard of, and majestic sea creatures. After we got our luggage we had our own personal tour guide . He took us to the house we had rented for the week. When we first stepped inside all we saw was a huge chandalier and a big movie room. As soon as we saw that me my brothers and sisters ran to find us a room. Everyone was arguing over who gets what room because some of them had the view of the ocean and the mall. This is the time i went to the Bahamas for the first time !
